Social Work
Mission
The mission of the social work program at Tabor College is to equip students with values, knowledge and skills to be helping agents in a diverse world while integrating a Christian faith perspective and enable students to serve those in need with compassion and professionalism.
Students will integrate a Christian faith perspective with social work practice that emphasizes and promotes:- A strength based perspective
- Social and economic justice
- Peace and reconciliation
- Dignity and worth of all persons
Goals
The goal of the Tabor Social Work program is to prepare the graduate to:
- Make a commitment to critical thinking and lifelong learning.
- Integrate a Christian faith perspective that promotes social justice and gives a voice to the oppressed.
- Continue social work education at the graduate level.
- Become a professional that values ethics and integrity.
