Oratorio Society
For 100 years, a strong musical tradition has been an integral part of Tabor College, and it has spoken to the spirits of many. Whether listening to a performance of a Tabor choral ensemble or an instrumental group, the music heard and performed is captivating and uplifting.
Arts organizations often rely upon the generosity of patrons to pursue activities that enrich both audience and performer. By joining together with others who appreciate music, Tabor Oratorio Society members make a public commitment to support the arts and foster the appreciation of great music in the area.
When members make that commitment, they help subsidize the Music Department’s budget dollars. Funds generated by the Tabor Oratorio Society are used to hire qualified orchestra personnel for the annual performance of Handel’s Messiah as well as our Spring Orchestra Concerts.
The Tabor Oratorio Society seeks to ensure that the musical tradition, which endless numbers have enjoyed throughout the years, will continue to entertain and inspire not only the audience, but also the students who possess a passion for performing.
