History
Areas of strength in the History Department include western history with an emphasis in religious history, modern America, the Reformation era, the American West, and American social and intellectual history. The program has a reputation for strong teaching, and faculty have published numerous books and articles. Graduates are prepared for teaching, international relations, law school, or graduate school.
The social sciences provide a method of studying humans as social beings. Through history we come to know how we are related to people in the past. At Tabor, this is taught in a Christian context.
