Experience Tabor
Campus Ministries Council
Campus Ministries Council (CMC) directs and coordinates the efforts of student ministries. The council consists of four executive positions, the campus pastor as advisor and one representative from each of the following ministries: Impact, Embrace, Share, Prayer and Dare (S,P and D), Discipleship groups (D-groups), Prison Ministries, PAX, Mentoring, Wichita Urban Ministries Plunge (WUMP) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
We invite you to explore how Tabor’s nine student-led ministries can pour into you and then let you pour into others.
- Impact emphasizes world-wide and local service and missions.
- Discipleship Groups (D-groups) are book study and discussion groups where members interact with the book’s content together.
- Mentoring partnerships bring men and women in the community and Tabor students together for the purpose of sharing their lives with each other in order to learn spiritual wisdom and maturity.
- Share, Prayer & Dare (S,P &D) provides a contemporary worship experience in order that the student body might encounter God and each other each Wednesday night.
- Embrace is a time of worship, teaching, praying and sharing for the women of Tabor College to embrace a more intimate relationship with God and one another.
- Wichita Urban Ministries Plunge (WUMP) is an inner-city ministry to the kids of Wichita, ages 4-13, providing them with a safe environment for Christian learning, living, fellowship and fun.
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is the integration of faith and athletics.
- PAX is dedicated to looking at and understanding peace, justice and global issues, and to raising awareness of the importance of these in our world today.
- Prison Ministries is a group of Tabor men who build friendships with local inmates in order that they may fulfill Christ’s command to visit the prisoner.
