Yes. We have two modules which require clinical work outside of class. Nursing in the Community (NUR 420) is a 3 credit hour course meeting 6 weeks that has a 60 hour requirement for work outside of the class time. We work with you to set up something that is of interest for you with Preceptors of that particular organization or health agency. The second module is Advanced Concepts of Nursing Leadership and Management (NUR 450). It is a 2 credit hour course meeting for 4 weeks and has a 40 hour work requirement outside of class. The instructors of the course and Chair of the Nursing Department will work with you to set up a Preceptor arrangement that meets your interest and available time.
