New events will be taking place at Tabor College Homecoming October 2-6. Cheerleaders will be providing free childcare at Wichita’s Exploration Place, Friday 6 to 9:15 p.m. while parents enjoy visiting with friends and classmates at the annual Festival Dinner.
Three alumni stage performers, Michael Woods, Landon Tucker and Jonathan Regier will entertain the Festival Dinner guests Friday evening at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The trio will perform fun-filled comedy improvisation using audience participation.
Dr. Ronnda Bartel will speak at 10 a.m. Saturday on her Aastrom Biosciences Research report in the Sol L. Loewen Science Center. Dr. Richard Kyle, recently retired after 41 years at Tabor College, will be honored at a reception during the halftime of the 2p.m. football game against Southwestern College. Asst. Professor, Derek Hamm will display his Art Show in the Historic Church throughout the day.
Baseball, softball and cheerleader reunions will be held Saturday. “We hope our community will join us for this fun filled weekend,” said Marlene Fast, director of Alumni relations. “There are activities for the whole family!”
