Those who enjoy classical guitar music will have the opportunity to hear Elizabeth Busch, a classical guitarist and songwriter hailing from California Sept. 2, 2012. She will perform at 3 p.m. in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center Lobby on the Tabor College campus. The public is welcome to attend and enjoy this afternoon performance. There is no charge for admission.
Fusing her classical background with her love for the simplicity of folk music, Elizabeth has created heartfelt songs on the themes of life, God, love, sorrow, and thankfulness. Audiences have described her music as peaceful, meditative, and worshipful. She will be preforming selections from her latest CD, Consecrated: Songs Along the Journey.
She also has performances planned for Koerner Heights Mennonite Church in Newton, Kan. She will play during both the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services on Sunday, Sept. 2.
Busch received her bachelor’s of music from Colorado Christian University and her master’s of music from the University of Southern California. She embarked upon a successful career playing and teaching classical guitar, performing at various venues throughout Los Angeles and Northern CA and releasing her first CD, Romance de la Guitarra: Music of Spain and Latin America, in May of 2008.
