Family
Three children – Katie is finishing med school at KU in Wichita; Peter is working on his Masters in Aerospace Engineering and married Elena who is working on her Masters in Curriculum for Education; Courtney is teaching Math at John Marshall middle school in Wichita, and teaching high school girls swimming at Northwest.
My four brothers and a sister also attended Tabor: Brothers Ken, Bob, and Dennis Penner farm together in western Kansas (Dennis is a member of the Tabor College Board of Directors); Ron, is the pastor at Kingsburg (Calif.) Mennonite Brethren Church); and her sister, Laura Dutra, is a teacher in Kingsburg.
I also enjoy playing piano, reading, biking, hiking, cruises, and relaxing on beaches.
What I love about being a part of Tabor?
In my role as Director of Alumni, I’m eager to share what’s new at Tabor College with everyone. There are so many positive things to talk about. I loved the Tabor College I attended, but the college has continued to move forward in so many areas, and has a vision to do even more. I feel blessed to be able to share this vision with others.
