Hobbies and Interests
I like to read, and I enjoy learning and trying different creative interests – sewing, knitting, scrapbooking, painting, writing, baking, whatever. I don’t really do any one thing long enough to get really good at it before I want to try something different. :) I also like to be physically active. I ran a marathon in 2004 and was involved in volleyball leagues when we lived in Indiana.
What I love about Tabor
When I was looking at colleges, I think God put Tabor in my heart. I had some difficult high school years and came to Tabor with a need for Christian community and friendships. I loved Tabor as a student – loved the classes, loved the people, loved campus life. I just have a lot of good memories from my Tabor days. God used Tabor to bring a lot of growth and healing to me at a fairly vulnerable time in my life. After graduating, Scott and I married. After a few years in Kansas, we moved to Indiana where I worked as an actuary for 16 years. Now we find ourselves back at Tabor. Tabor still has a place in my heart and I think that God has a job for us to do here right now, so we give back to Tabor out of the abundance that we have been given. There is a contentment that comes with being part of God’s work and purpose for us as we understand it and we pray that God continues to use Tabor to bring healing and growth to the students who come.
