Education
I spent 6th through 12th grades attending Jakarta International School in Indonesia, where my family served as missionaries and I graduated from high school.
I attended Fresno Pacific College (now University) for four years, graduating with my BA in Interpersonal Communication and a minor in Conflict and Peacemaking. (The bonus was meeting my husband-to-be Chris there, though I graduated without the MRS degree and we reconnected and married some time after college.)
Family Information
Chris and I have served in various positions (youth/family/music/women’s/administrative) at a number of churches and in Christian camping throughout our 20+ years of marriage. Prior to our move to Wichita in December, 2008, we spent almost ten years living in the mountains near Yosemite National Park in California. My husband is a great man, and God has blessed us with two wonderful teenagers…who were born on the same day, two years apart!
Hobbies and Interests
I love people, so hosting and socializing is big for me. For a creative outlet, playing piano (accompanying/worship) brings me joy. I can also disappear into a book pretty quickly—anything from great fiction to bios/memoirs to spiritual life issues.
What I love about being part of Tabor
I want to honor God, do something of significance and use my gifts, and I know this is a place where I can do those things. I’m really into “team” and I’m thankful to be on a good one here at Tabor!
