Kathleen Regier
Institutional Data & Assessment Coordinator
Tabor is a great place to work, and to prove it I have accepted positions here three times, currently serving as Institutional Data & Assessment Coordinator.
The Alleghany Mountains of Pennsylvania were my homeland, and, by current retention standards, I was an “at risk” kid, being the first of my family to complete high school. Many years and two children later, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Bethel College and a Master’s in the same from Wichita State University. It became evident over time that God had given me the gifts of perception, administration, and teaching; all of them provide the framework for my next goal, that of nurturing and maintaining a servant’s heart in all relationships and circumstances.
My husband, Allan, has taught in private Christian schools for 33 years; he supplements our income with farming. Our youngest daughter, Heidi Regier Burgess, is a Tabor College graduate who teaches English- as-a- Second-Language classes in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where her husband is employed by John Brown University. Our daughter, Laura Regier Hill, and husband, Ron, an engineer for Cessna, live in Derby; close enough to visit our grandson often. Allan and I work hard to maintain a vision for the simple things of life, believing that it is in the common things God is most visible, and from which we learn the most significant life lessons.
